Oosterschelde is a park with a surface area covered 90 per cent by water and is known as ‘birds’ boulevard’ because of the thousands of birds that live there. On top of that, De Heerenkeet, which was built in 1763, is possibly the only restaurant in the Netherlands that is built outside of a dyke. The view is stunning, especially in windy weather when you see the roughness of nature right before your eyes. Within the family, ‘mom’ Marion Snijder is passionately and certifiably governing the wine business. She visits the wine fields in Portugal, France and New Zealand to select the wines herself.
